A social media banner based on song lyrics from Airplanes by B.O.B. This was a gift for a friend. She made all the aesthetic plans that I executed.

Creation Process
Criteria: Create a Tumblr banner using a lyric from the song Airplanes by B.O.B. Use a blue gradient.
This was a sporadic project and had no prior planning; I just jumped right into the creation and designing. Because this was for a friend, I worked with her to create this banner. She picked the lyric line that she wanted to use, and I started making concepts for it. I made a few versions with different layouts and showed them to her. She gave feedback on what she liked best, and I made new versions based on what she said. This went back and forth a few times until we were both happy with the final version.
Afterthoughts
This was a fun project. As informal as it was, it was good practice for me of interacting with what would be a client and how to meet someone else’s creative demands. I learned what it was like trying to communicate with someone about design ideas through an inconvenient digital medium and how to translate someone else’s ideas into realistic images and get feedback in real-time.
